- Managing client and office accounts in compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Processing payments, receipts, and transfers accurately and efficiently.
- Reconciling bank statements and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Assisting with month-end and year-end financial procedures.
- Liaising with solicitors, clients, and external bodies regarding financial matters.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and firm policies.
- Supporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Proven experience as a Legal Cashier in a solicitors firm.
- Thorough understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and legal accounting practices.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
