Control Room Assistant
Warwick
6 Month contract (Likely extensions)
Salary C.£33,000
Shift patterns - 4 week rolling rota including mornings, evenings, and weekends (1 full weekend per 4 weeks)
Morning shift= 6am-2pm
Evening shift= 2pm-10pm
About the role
The Transmission Network Control Centre (TNCC) is truly on the front line of what we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to join and support the 24/7, 365-day delivery team with responsibility for the real time operation of the electricity transmission system, ensuring safety and system security standards are always maintained.

This is a pivotal role in ensuring support is given to the shift team, allowing timely delivery of the work that is planned on the network and successful event management.

Key responsibilities

  • Primarily accountable for provision of technical and clerical support to the TNCC Control Room.
  • Produce work orders for call outs and direction of field staff for rectification of network faults.
  • Responsible for producing management reports and assisting with the production of Key Performance indicators.
  • Responsible for providing support to TNCC day office functions as required.
  • Carrying out other reasonable duties as directed by Leadership Team Selfstarter able to gather data into reports.
  • Support Control Room Operational & Management teams.
  • Produce work orders
  • Carry out general clerical duties.
About you

  • IT proficient and experience in using Microsoft products
  • Good technical knowledge
  • Data management experience
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, remaining calm and focussed on the task at hand.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. High attention to detail.
