THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting for a Factory Manager. The role is based around driving the production teams to hit efficiency/value and quality targets.

With the specific daily tasks including holding the morning production meeting, liaisingwith purchasing and engineering and managing the production teams through the line supervisors.


THE JOB:


  • Complete production efficiently and to schedule
  • Daytoday line management of 40 staff including 6 Supervisors, including holiday requests, appraisals, training, recruitment and first line HR
  • Ensuring staff adhere to the H&S policy and procedures
  • Ensure the Factory is kept tidy
  • Continuously improving the process to lower lead times and save cost on products
  • Support Engineering the creation of build manuals and costings
  • Support and work with the Quality Manager to lower customer complaints and resolve internal issues at root cause
  • Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions
  • Supports the HSEQ Manager to address issues regarding quality when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
  • Collects and assesses data about the production team's performance via the ERP system in order to produce and monitor meaningful KPIs focusing on On Time Delivery, and escalate any concerns in a timely manner
  • Prepares and submits production status and performance reports for upper management, including suggestions on ways to improve efficiency

THE PERSON:


  • Able to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Production Manager role
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer focus
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence, provide leadership, work in a team environment or independently
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite, SAP and other computer programs as required
  • Innovative spirit through confidence, learning and focus on the future.

  • High levels of integrity
