Providing an international experience and placement opportunities for all our students is central to The University of Manchester's Global Influence Strategy and our teaching and learning.


The Placements and International Programmes Office (PIP) is responsible for the governance and business processes for all UK and International Placements including student exchanges/study abroad, work placements and fieldwork.

PIP manages the promotion, administration, and evaluation of overseas opportunities for Manchester students and works closely with partners across the globe.

This is an exciting time to join an expanding team as we seek to rebuild and grow study abroad and work placements post-pandemic, maximising opportunities from new internal investment as well as the Turing Scheme to contribute to the creation of a generation of global change makers.

The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will join an established and expanding team.

The post-holder will lead on the development of an over-arching evaluation plan and evaluation tools for the University's placements, with a particular focus on international placements.

The post includes a project role supporting new initiatives and also business improvement projects. The post-holder will sit on the PIP Management Team.
