Our public sector client is currently recruiting for an Interim Head of IT Operations on an initial 4-6 month contract.

Head of IT Operations

Peterborough / Cambridge - Hybrid

£700 - £800 per day inside IR35

Your main role will be to:

  • Lead and set the direction of Operational Services within the IT & Digital Service
  • Lead the teams in the comprehensive development and maintenance of all technology based services
  • As part of the IT Digital Services management team, identify priorities and establish the most effective deployment of resources
  • Effectively manage and monitor the Technology Services
  • Provide effective assurance and governance.
  • Driving a culture of continuous service improvement
  • Build effective relationships across the service
  • Ensure IT project delivery
  • Ensure delivery against IT and digital strategy
  • Leadership experience at Head of IT or IT Operations Manager level
  • Strong change management skills leading a service towards a valueled cultural change
  • Strong project and programme management skills (Prince 2 or MSP ideally)
  • ITIL Certification
  • Delivering improvement initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
