System Administrator

We are looking for a System Administrator who will be working from the Stoke Office in Staffordshire - giving 2nd level support remotely - to the headquarters' in Germany.

Work for one of the worldwide market leaders in the design and realisation of highly dynamic warehouse systems and order picking systems in the intra-logistics business.

Systems Administrators will work from the UK Helpdesk which is currently 7 persons (with planned expansion to 10) covering IT support and PLC (engineering) support.
However, they will work as an integral part of the wider 'international' helpdesk which is 3540 persons (covering Systems Admin, IT, PLC). Supporting customers all around the world.
Shiftbased

role: Generally 5-days per week on a rotation through 'Earlies', 'Lates', and 'Nights'.
Your role in our team

Operational administration and configuration of our highavailability server landscapes
Second level support in the area of ??server, storage, network
Implementation of error analyzes and troubleshooting of various server systems
Monitoring, configuration and maintenance of the server and storage hardware
Problem solving with thirdparty providers (Microsoft, HPE, VMware)

You fit in well

Studies in IT or training as an IT specialist (M/F / d) for system integration or a comparable qualification
Experience with productive systems in the Windows server and hardware environment, preferably in a 24/7 environment
Working knowledge in virtualization environments, storage infrastructures and backup solutions
Knowledge of Active Directory Services, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy Management
Knowledge of Microsoft Failover Clustering
Remote Desktop Services is desirable and ideally with monitoring tools and patch management
Work in an employeefriendly shift model
Very good knowledge of English
