Gallagher is looking to hire an Executive / Technical Assistant to the CEO of Energy, Power & Renewables in our Specialty Division.

This is an incredible opportunity for an exceptional individual who is passionate about working in a dynamic, fast paced business to be part of a successful global organization and who will act as a seamless extension of the individual supported and will happily work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organization; in the UK and overseas.


The role will involve the typical duties of an EA but with many other opportunities to showcase your technical ability, initiative, experience and skills through ad hoc project activity.

An ambitious and entrepreneurial nature together with a determined hands on approach is vital to ensure you succeed in this challenging, varied and sometimes pressurised role.


This role will be offered on a full time and permanent basis and will be based in our London office but with flexibility around agile working.


Your Role:


  • Provide an effective and responsive administrative service to the Chief Executive Officer, Energy, Power & Renewables
  • Deputise, as appropriate, in meetings for the Chief Executive Officer, Energy, Power & Renewables, providing a technical summary of meeting and key action points.
  • Prepare monthly reports/presentations on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, Energy, Power & Renewables for input into various committees/meetings.
  • Maintain and manage a busy diary, organising internal and external appointments considering current priorities, global time zones and the need for focus time
  • Coordinate and arrange business trips including meeting itineraries, travel and accommodation
  • Liaise with internal and external colleagues and clients across the globe
  • Reconcile expense claims and credit card statements
  • Act as a 'gate keeper' to ensure nonessential tasks are given low priority

Your Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:


  • Experience of working in a similar Executive Assistant role which demonstrates your ability to multitask, organise and prioritise effectively
  • Basic technical Insurance knowledge
  • Ability to plan and organise self and others
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills are essential
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise pace over perfection when needed
  • Flexible, approachable & socially confident
  • Sound knowledge of office tools especially MS Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
