ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer LOCATION- West Berkshire TERM- Permanent SALARY- £45,000-£60,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector.

They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in West Berkshire on a permanent basis.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

At least 5 years of experience in a similar Engineering position in a manufacturing environment
Qualified with a Degree / Masters / PhD or similar in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related relevant subject
Excellent analytical skills, with knowledge of hand calculations, FEA, ANSYS, stress analysis, particle fluid simulation etc.
Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc.

~ Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances

Proficient using MS Office
Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
FEA, testing, verification, validation and simulation
Being involved in final assembly of products
Creating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plans
Updating 3D models and drawings
Working in a small, multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
