Are you an experienced Mechanical or Electrical
Project Managerand are you looking for a new opportunity in the
Kent area
? Our client is a Family run Utility services business who have been running forover 50 years and have built an excellent reputation for listening to their clients, understanding requirements and working hard to deliver their objectives.

Repeat business and consistency is important to them, and you will play an important part in continuousimprovement for the business.


Key Responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for the successful delivery of a project (s), ensuring smooth operation and delivery of high quality to budget and inline or better than the accepted programme.
  • Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress and implement actions to achieve targeted performance.
  • Identify the quality expectations and record in the Quality Plan.
  • Develop and implement site establishment and ensure the efficient and effective management of site.
  • Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety. Ensure compliance with H & S plan.
  • Implement all statutory, regulatory and company requirements for environmental and waste management.
  • Encourage and support innovation/value engineering throughout the design phase.
  • Ensure measures are established for the timely delivery of design information.
  • Contribute into supply chain selection process and provide regular feedback and manage supply chain performance.
  • Management of scope change notices in accordance with the contract requirements (e.g., early warnings and compensation notices).
  • To be successful in the role you will be an effective communicator with a positive, passionate, and engaging approach.
  • You will have good writing and analytical skills and have solid experience in taking full responsibility and leadership for M&E disciplines.
  • Complete all internal/external reporting
  • Responsibility for site level budget control and commercial performance.
  • Accountability for all projects from inception to completion.

Requirements:


  • A focus on supporting and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Good communication skills.
  • HNC minimum in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • A minimum of five years? experience in a design and build project delivery role within the water industry
  • NEC 3 knowledge and experience
  • Essential
