We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the team at Canopy by Hilton London City.


Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, working in a team of five your key area of responsibility will include reporting, income audit and cost control.

About the role_**- Accurately auditing the daily revenue and maintaining all necessary income reports and journals

  • Daily banking and cash reconciliation
  • Regular float checks and reporting on discrepancies
  • Maintaining all necessary files and registers for the finance department
  • Processing invoices, petty cash and entering and coding financial transactions
  • Ensure adherence to company payment terms by chasing debts in a structured and organised manner
  • Assist in the preparation and input of the accounts receivable journals
  • Balancing the accounts receivable system to the general ledger
  • Assist with internal and external audits when they occur
  • Prepare F&B allowances on a daily basis
  • Deal with supplier and customers queries in a timely manner

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role within Hilton Hotels, you will have strong numerical and analytical skills with a close attention to detail.

In addition, to be successful in this role you will need:


  • You are clearly passionate about your work
  • Excellent communication skills the ability to communicate verbally and in written format both concisely and logically are a necessity as are excellent excel skills
  • Be friendly, approachable and professional with all team members, suppliers and guests
