Senior Fullstack Java Developer - Spring, React, strong UX

Hybrid Remote - Oxford, UK

to £60k + share options


A highly prized opportunity for a skilled Fullstack Java Engineer with strong UX skills to work as part of a team with experts in AI, static and dynamic program analysis, and software verification.

An experienced Java front-end professional, currently workingin a Java full stack role and with a good eye for UI/UX.


You'll be joining a world leading AI tech business that recently closed its latest round of funding and coming off the back of triple digit growth.


Your remit - a flavour:


  • Design and build endtoend Java software in an Agile environment using frameworks such as React, Spring Boot and others
  • Provide architectural guidance and review on fullstack development techniques such as the use of React and the Spring Framework,
  • Proactively contribute to the team's objectives of delivering incremental value every sprint and partner with other team members to deliver those objectives

You will need to have:


  • Fluency in the Java and JavaScript languages and runtime libraries
  • Fluency in the Spring Framework and the core concepts of Spring testing
  • Fluency in the React Framework and UI testing with Selenium
  • Proven experience in contributing to large private and/or opensource projects
  • Experience with querying, manipulating and modelling data with SQL
  • Experience with data visualisation tools/techniques
  • Proficient knowledge of Git or other SCMs
  • Knowledge of testdriven development and a CI/CD setup
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with one or more of Linux/macOS/Windows environments
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies and adapt to arising challenges

Optional but desirable skills:


  • Experience with developer productivity tooling
