Description
There has never been a more exciting time to join East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and we are looking to appoint an outstanding Chief Finance Officer (CFO).
Reporting to the Trust Chief Executive and working closely with the Board and the Executive Directors, the CFO will help to formulate strategic planning and decision-making will be pivotal to the successful achievement of the Trust's strategic objectives and annual budget and will play a central part in the effective commercial and operational management of the Trust's central financial functions.
We are seeking a candidate with an outstanding track record of success at Board level in the NHS or wider public sector, you will possess first class financial leadership and influencing skills with the ability to forge effective working relationships across a wide set of internal and external stakeholders.
We are one of the largest Trusts in South-East England, with five acute hospitals and community sites serving a population of around 730,000.

Evidence of continued professional and management development
Postgraduate qualification
Management training or qualification
Track record at Board or very senior management level including successful achievement of financial and other performance targets
Understanding of NHS financial and regulatory framework
Commercial experience
Successful leadership in multi-agency working
Demonstrable experience of Project Management
Strong business acumen and commercial experience, or demonstrable potential
