Are you looking for a unique opportunity where you can make your mark and help change the lives of our community? We are looking to appoint a driven, committed, and passionate individual who will lead Oasis Academy Watermead on the next stage of its journey as part of the Oasis family.


About the Role
As Principal, you will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of the Academy.

Working with the Regional Director, you will lead the staff in realising the vision of establishing and developing a unique, extended learning community that will cater for every child - academically, vocationally, socially, morally, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and environmentally.


We are seeking an individual with a strong record of accomplishment in senior leadership, clarity of purpose, high expectations and a passion to include everyone.

As a high-profile individual, you will champion the Oasis ethos, support, and develop leaders and empower staff members. As Principal you will have the character and competency to move the Academy forward.


About the Academy


Oasis Academy Watermead is an Outstanding Academy where learning and high standards is at the heart of all we do.

We encourage all our children to achieve the best they can across every area of the Academy - academic or extra-curricular.

Our aim is for our children to be confident, caring, resilient, inquisitive young people with a desire to learn and achieve the best they can, in all they do.

We place great emphasis on our Oasis 9 Habits, teaching our children how to become responsible citizens whilst understanding their place within the world.

The Academy is situated to the Northeast of Sheffield and was purpose built in 2014 to accommodate the additional need of school places in the area for children aged between 3 and 11.Oasis Academy Watermead has places for 420 children in the main school and 52 in our nursery.


Effective Support
We do not expect you to do this alone. You will enjoy the support and challenge of a Regional Director along with the wider OCL National Team.

By being part of a family of 52 Oasis Academies, you will work alongside expert leaders in their field and benefit from a strong support network and partnership with other Oasis Community Learning Primaries within the region.

You will have many opportunities to share best practice and drive continual improvement, including an annual Regional conference, Regional Improvement Networks and access to a growing CPD programme nationally.
