Our client is looking for a Senior Quality Specialist for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen.


ROLE


This role supports the Project HSE Lead in the implementation of the Quality Management System and project quality plan in accordance with Company quality governance, applicable UK regulations, and industry standards such as ISO 9001.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for implementation of the project Quality Management Plan in accordance with quality management requirements
  • Accountable for the development of key quality deliverables such as supplier quality surveillance (SQS) strategies, Design Verification Plans, and projectspecific quality procedures.
  • Accountable for development of a risk based audit programme and to coordinate and participate in internal and supplier audits.
  • Accountable to develop and facilitate project Design Verification Plan and associated activities
  • Responsible to engage with the contracts team during EPC contract tender process to ensure the company quality expectations are cascaded through the supply chain
  • Responsible to coordinate thirdparty QC inspectors to ensure that Company defined intervention points are achieved in accordance with applicable SQS Plans.
  • Responsible to carry out required Supplier Quality Surveillance duties, including site visits, as instructed by the project HSE Lead.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting progress of internal and supplier QC processes.
  • Responsible to monitor Contractors' compliance to quality KPIs and report Quality performance against key metrics / trends as an input to Quality Reporting and/or Management Review processes.
  • Responsible for proper handling and resolution of all reported project nonconformances in accordance with applicable Quality procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing and providing required Quality input to key supplier documentation in accordance with Company Quality requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure that all equipment is manufactured and tested in accordance with purchase order requirements and in compliance with regulatory, contractual and company standards.
  • Responsible for participating in followup activities at contractors and suppliers through reviews, verifications, surveillance, and audit activities.
  • Responsible to maintain records to provide evidence of conformity to Company Quality requirements, and of the effective operation of the Quality Management System, including maintaining a nonconformity system.
  • Responsible to coordinate thirdparty QC inspections of temporary equipment to ensure that it is safe and fitforpurpose for use on Company assets.
  • Familiar with and able to articulate key Company Quality Management expectations and requirements to key contractors and suppliers through relevant channels (e.g. preproduction meetings)
  • Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, Company Quality requirements, and key UK regulations.
  • Experienced major projects professional, ideally with experience from Power, Infrastructure or Oil & Gas projects
  • Working knowledge of either manufacturing, testing, or commissioning activities of equipment associated with Major Projects
  • Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • A certified Lead auditor (ISO 9001)
- strong commitment to ongoing continual professional development

Preferred

  • Chartered quality professional
  • Registered IRCA accredited lead auditor
  • HNC or comparable education or experience. Less formal education may be compensated with documented relevant experience.
  • Awareness of HSES Policies and Business Management System (BMS)
  • Awareness of Values & Business Principles
