Job Summary


A key member of the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) delivery team and instrumental in helping to drive the DSA contract performance, compliance actions and the continuous improvement agenda.

Responsible for data insight, performance driver identificationand leading continuous improvement activities across DSA contracts.

Supporting the Contract Director in terms of performance insight and reporting requirements for commissioner meetings, including the provision of resource requirements based on planning approaches and forecast numbers.


Salary Range:
Non-London £36,000-£41,000 pa
London £41,000-£45,000 pa

This role will be recruited in anticipation of Contract Reward.
Essential Job Duties

  • Providing timely, accurate and insightful performance data to DSA leadership, SLA and key stakeholders (as allowed) on all aspects of the performance of the service.
  • Supporting the DSA leadership team in preparation of reports and presentations as required in performance reviews or audit meetings and being a key player, the leading practitioner in the Divisions Quality & Contract community, sharing good practice andtaking on board learnings from elsewhere.
  • Identification, reporting and monitoring corrective action for any noncompliances.
  • Using data, customer feedback operational/supply chain inputs to formulate and drive a continuous plan of the DSA service.
  • Work with the finance team, ensure claims for payment to SLC are accurate and timely, and responding to any arising queries.
  • Acting as a regular point of contact for SLC for daytoday queries on data, reporting, complaints, contract compliance, claims discrepancies etc.
  • Acting as a point of contact to support the Risk and Audit team to develop and maintain the necessary contractual compliance and performance delivery requirements.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Experience of designing, implementing and continuously improving a quality management framework to achieve and exceed contractual and organisational objectives.
  • Proven experience of providing effective insight and recommendations to senior management in a performance driven environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in facilitating the embedding of new learning so it has a positive impact on performance and ensures quality of service delivery
  • Highly competent in the effective promotion of customer care and Brand
  • Selfstarter, able to prioritise and problem solve with mínimal support; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and organise workload to meet required targets and deadlines consistently.
  • Work in a flexible and autonomous manner; being visionary, promoting improvements and sharing best practice that supports business efficiency
  • Solid experience of analysing financial and nonfinancial data, and producing reports and recommendations based on such analysis.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear accurate reports, statistics and documentation.
  • Qualified to degree or similar equivalent level, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including English Language and Maths.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety, equality and diversity and data protection matters.
