Job Summary


As the ITIL Service Coordinator you provide support to the IT Service Manager to ensure the proactive, efficient and effective operation of ITIL processes that underpin the delivery of IT services to Maximus UK.

To work closely with the IT Service Managerto identify continuous improvement, maintain operational support, identify, update, implement ITIL procedures. Build relationships with internal teams, external partners and the wider business The role will be based in Leicester or Leeds with periodic travelto other Maximus UK


Essential Job Duties

Responsibilities This position's job duties and responsibilities include:

  • 1. Acts as first point of escalation for IT performance and service level rated issues.
  • Liaises with internal/external technical teams to ensure any challenges or issues impacting the IT service are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provides Major Incident management support; to include co-ordination of incidents resolution activity within and across team, business communication, report production and lessons learned exercises.
  • Provides IT Change Management support; to include co-ordination and running of the Change Manager Board, business communication (on any planned and unexpected IT works, including downtime), report production and lessons learned exercises.
  • Measures and reports on KPI's to ensure service delivery targets are met.
  • Under the IT Business Continuity Manager's supervision, determines end-user's IT service requirements by maintaining contact with stakeholders, visiting operational environment and analysing support information provided by end-users

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Good understanding of general IT processes
  • Experience on working on multiple IT projects
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices including Change, Incident, Problem, Asset and Release management
  • ITIL foundation and/or practitioner desirable
  • Excellent communicator in writing and verbally
  • Able to work on his/her own initiative and within a small team environment
  • Able to multitask
  • Attentive to detail
