    Job Purpose:


    As a Junior Estimator you will be responsible for supporting everyday estimating activities and assisting the Senior Estimator to create and prepare tender submittals.

    In this role you will be responsible for gathering all relevant information required for submitting competitive tenders contribution to the continued growth of the company.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    In this role you will:
    Provide support for the day-to-day estimating activities which include costing of a wide range of tender applications.
    Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to build our network of suppliers.

    Obtaining estimates and prices from suppliers, following up in a timely manner to ensure the exercise remains on track for submission deadlines.

    Assist with creating and delivering tender presentations.
    Following up tenders and cost estimates.
    Create submittals register for projects.
    Assisting the team in conducting material take-offs.
    Establish and maintain professional working relationships with current clients and potential new clients.

    Liaise with internal teams to generate a seamless link from initial costing through to design, installation, and completion for each project.

    Attend site meetings where required both pre and post contract award.

    Identify tender packages that are not suited to the Company using knowledge gained from a review of the feedback reports on previous tenders done for same client.

    Prepare handover documentation & attend internal post award meetings for successful projects to discuss and review breakdown of estimate with pre-con teams.

    Assist with tasks such as data entry, report creation, accurate record keeping, organising meetings and responding to correspondence.

    Person Specification:
    Experience as an Estimator or experience in a similar position.
    Experience working in the M&E industry would be desirable.
    Strong attention to detail.
    Commercial awareness.
    Ability to manage projects with tight deadlines.
    Excellent computer skills.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - to include Excel.
    Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
    Full clean ROI/UK Driving Licence and access to vehicle.
    Right to work in UK/ROI
