Description
About the role In this exciting role, you will work alongside other colleagues to provide an excellent ResLife activities programme, manage a team of inspiring staff and student staff, provide well-being support to residential students and provide data on the activities.
The role is one of five Assistant Managers who between them share responsibility for day-to-day operations, each line managing different teams of staff within the business.
You will work with a variety of University departments; the University's Future Students Office in organising and delivering open days to ensure the successful delivery of the student recruitment process and recruitment into accommodation; Welfare and Standing together in providing well-being support; communications teams for your marketing and social media engagement with students and other areas that support you in your role.

You will be working as part of a diverse award-winning Accommodation team with a focus on providing support and guidance to our wonderful student community. Are you fed up of doing the same old thing every day? Have no fear; no two days are the same in our team
About you You will be passionate about enhancing the residential experience of our students in Halls. Having the ability to provide a varied and student focussed events calendar, as well as being able to co-ordinate staff to provide well-being support and signposting. You will have experience of managing large teams, and be able to motivate and inspire them to build their career skills whilst working for us. There will be the opportunity for development in areas around Suicide First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and other well-being areas. This role is subject to satisfactory completion of enhanced screening due to the nature of the role and environment in which the post holder will be working. The level of screening currently required is in accordance with BPSS guidelines however the University reserves the right to change this should it be deemed necessary to safeguard both the institution and its employees.
