The Role

Sheffield Forgemasters are currently undergoing a period of sustained growth and are looking for the right person who wants to support our ambitions.

The Head of Strategy and Marketing oversees the development, communication and execution of strategic initiatives to achieve new business for Sheffield Forgemasters.

The right person, will be responsible for supporting the senior team with strategy development and leading the annual review process of strategic planning across multiple teams and driving strategy creation with stakeholders.

The role will also be responsible for developing and delivering the strategic marketing plan to support sales & strategy, creating content and narration for presenting new business models, and designs strategic roadmaps for innovation and commercial activities and play a key role in leading change management initiatives for the organisation.

The right person will possesses strong business and financial acumen which enables success in the commercial objectives of the organisation, have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with people across all levels and be a visionary leader who inspires trust, leading others to readily adopt his/her insights and directives.

They are also an independent thinker with the drive to propel the growth of the organisation.

Specific Qualifications:

Degree level qualified

Skills, attributes & knowledge required:

Development of Strategic Plans
Development and delivery of marketing plans including branding, exhibitions, websites, PR, and market intelligence
Leadership and Management of a team

Types of experience Required:

Held a similar senior role in Marketing and or Strategy in a similar/ related business for >10 years
Worked closely with Executive/ Board level

Personal Qualities:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with senior staff, the Board and Shareholders and customers
Collaborative approach to ensure effective team support
Diligent and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with good work ethic allowing for independent working

Days/Hours of Work:

Office hours 07:4- 16:00 with flexibility around start and finish times. Core hours 9:30 - 2:30.
