Come and join our fabulous team in the Early Years and Childcare service at Rotherham Council.

The Early Years and Childcare Service sits within the Education and Inclusion Service within the Children and Young Peoples Directorate

We have an exciting opportunity available; we are looking to appoint an Inclusion Support Grant Officer. The post will be hybrid and will support all early years, childcare and schools within Rotherham.


The post holder will oversee the implementation of a 2-tier model for Inclusion Support Grant working closely with the Early Years Inclusion Team.

Inclusion support grant funding enables children with special educational needs to access early years and childcare settings.


The post holder will be responsible for leading on specific processes of the distribution of the Inclusion Support Grant funding within fixed time constraints including monitoring a budget with considerable expenditures and contribute to budget setting.


The post holder will provide technical and administrative support, overseeing the co-ordination of panels, multi-agency meetings, collating professionals reports and providing ongoing support to the Early Years Inclusion Team.


The post holder will manage the process for gathering accurate child level data from all relevant childcare providers and collate child summaries to ensure the service has accurate data relating to children's individuals needs which can inform future planning when children access statutory school age provision.

This will include the 0-5 Special Educational Needs Data Dashboard which details all professionals working with the children.
