Job Purpose:

To have day to day conduct of a caseload of pre-litigated, small credit hire claims.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To chase outstanding payments due
To review files and produce bills for payment
To issue Court proceedings for recovery of outstanding payments
To prepare files for Hearing
To instruct Counsel to attend Hearings
To instruct High Court Enforcement/County Court Bailiffs
To deal with internal and external telephone queries
To liaise with external agencies/Insurers/Solicitors/Courts/Debt Management firms
To monitor and process incoming payments in a timely manner
General administrative duties

Experience & Knowledge:

To progress the caseload in an appropriate and timely manner, making use of the firms Case Management Systems and using the agreed internal procedures and practices
To assess liability at all times and to ensure that at all times the client and source receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice and that they are kept fully informed on the progress of the claim
To liaise with clients, obtaining detailed instructions and on boarding them ready for litigation
To settle claims as soon as is possible, where possible, or prepare to issue for transfer to the Litigation Team
To achieve and exceed all targets set
