An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a part of the Guy's and St Thomas' Community Tobacco Dependence Treatment Team.
We are looking for an experienced Tobacco Dependence Specialist on a part-time basis, who will enjoy working as part of a small team delivering tobacco dependence treatment to clients across different locations in Lambeth.
The postholder will lead targeted campaigns, lead on the local community outreach plan, and contribute to the service development and participation on local health improvement initiativesThe post holder will be expected to support the delivery of the smoking cessation sections of the Trust initiatives aimed at promoting and improving the health of local residents
Duties and responsibilities will include:
To lead on local outreach campaigns
To lead on targeted community projects
To deliver one to one and group smoking cessation support in accordance with NICE guidelines
To provide training and support to Local Authority commissioned pharmacies that provide smoking cessation support

To establish and deliver a model of service provision for smoking cessation across a wide range of community settings, specifically targeting health inequalities and populations not currently accessing mainstream services
Work alongside other Tobacco Dependence Treatment specialists and with local community partners to recruit smokers using a variety of promotional methods, wherever possible targeting priority groups and areas of deprivation
To develop and deliver training as required including bespoke training for a range of services including midwifery, community services, voluntary organisations, GP and Pharmacy providers
To act as a clinical lead and specialist resource for local stop smoking advisors, with specific responsibility for the development and delivery of best practice protocols across local care networks.
