Herefordshire & Worcestershire ICB and its Integrated Care System (ICS) has a strong commitment to investing and developing Culture & Inclusion with multiple projects and initiatives being implemented to help us on our journey of building equity, diversity, and inclusive practice into everything we do.


This is an exciting role supporting both the ICB and our ICS partners in the roll out of our new ICS Culture & Inclusion Strategy, Framework and Delivery Plan, which includes a range of high quality strategic, operational and transformation activities to ensure that we are delivering sustainable and tangible diversity and culturally inclusive solutions in our workforce development, staff & service user experience as well as direct health & care practice that leads to increased organisation and service user outcomes.


You will be part of a vibrant, energised and collaborative people & workforce team that adopts matrix working; jointly working on portfolios.

The role is also committed to hybrid working, but some headquarters based working will be required to ensure that we enable successful relationship building and inclusive connections.


This is an exciting, transformational role which will require a balance of data analysis and report writing, as well as an essence of excellent inclusive behaviours and skills; facilitating groups and leading on a range of creative projects.

The ICB/ICS Culture & Inclusion Project Manager will have responsibility for development and implementation including but not limited to:

  • Providing project management support to the ICS/ICB Culture & Inclusion Director
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategy, schemes, policies and procedures to ensure the ICB meets legal, national and best practice obligations under the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda. This will include the assurance of equality impact assessments and EDI statutory performance improvement
  • Supporting ICS partners to codevelop and implement 'better done together' inclusive culture models of practice and improvement development initiatives that reflect the needs across our health and care providers
  • Building on our increased staff and patient networks
  • To influence the evidenced impact that building and establishing inclusive cultures directly links to improved performance and experience in health and care for both staff and citizens.
  • Liaising with local and national equality and diversity networks and agencies, developing effective networks, forums and communication channels championing the work of the trust.
  • Facilitating the sharing of best practice and information through effective evidence gathering and updates to key stakeholders.
  • Interpreting employment legislation, case law, best practice, and Trust policies to advise Managers on appropriate action to take with regard to employment issues.
