One of our community primary schools in WF2- Wakefield are looking for a SEND Support Worker to join their team and working within a 1:1 role each morning with child with ASD and PDA.The afternoon session is working as a general classroom teaching assistantworking within the Early Years department.

The role of the 1:1 support worker needs to be someone who is not phased by behaviours that are challenging and confident using de-escalation techniques where necessary.

This role suits a confident and experienced person who can take the time to build arelationship with him.

Experience working as a SEND Support Worker
Team Teach trained (or equivalent)
Previous experience working with young people with SEND
Experience using positive and effective behaviour management strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
DBS that is on the DBS update service (or be prepared to undertake a new DBS with Provide Education)
