Position:


The Sales Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a team of sales representatives to ensure the team's sales goals and objectives are achieved.

This role involves leading, coaching, and motivating team members, managing sales operations, and developing strategies to enhance sales performance. The Sales Team Leader plays a critical role in fostering a positive team environment and driving continuous improvement.

The post holder will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication is key.


Requirements:


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Keep up to date of new products and services, identify training needs and organise relevant training sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, report findings to the Sales Manager and adjusting strategies as needed to ensure optimal results
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager to set achievable sales goals and develop action plans
  • Ensure that the team provides excellent customer service and follows up on sales leads promptly
  • Prepare regular sales reports and present findings to the Sales Manager and senior management
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, incorporating them into the sales process
  • Holiday/Sickness cover for Sales Manager role as required
  • Managing staff rotas, holidays and completing Return to Work Interviews following sickness absence

Skills, Qualifications, Experience and competencies

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Able to quickly adapt to new systems, including inhouse systems (Sales Force experience advantageous)

From £32,000 per annum


Hours:45 hours per week Monday-Friday between
