Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring and motivated nurse with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to join our friendly team in the Outpatient Department at SGH.
The Department provides outpatient services for a variety of medical and surgical specialties including Ophthalmology, Respiratory, General Surgery, Colorectal, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Urology, Gastro-enterology, ENT, Vascular, TIA and Orthopedics, as well as support to other departments including Radiology special procedures.
This will be an exciting time for the right candidate as outpatients is joined with Hull Royal University Teaching Hospital.
Main duties of the job
As an Outpatients nurse you must adhere to the Trusts values of kindness courage and respect, always promoting a positive attitude.
Your role will be varied, working within all specialties, and areas that Outpatients covers. Where you can demonstrate your clinical practice and further enhance your knowledge and skills. You will be expected to coordinate specific OPD areas, providing a visible clinical presence supporting the senior team with the day to day running of the department.
To support, supervise and assess all learners, students, temporary new and junior staff within the departments.
