Summary of position:


  • The Line Facilitator will lead resources to add value to production operations whilst ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, quality and business systems. The role will be the catalyst for improvement in the performance of the production lines and drive operational excellence in the areas under their control.

Duties & Responsibilities (leadership, people development, planning and execution):

Compliance

  • Accountable for all aspects of GMP and Housekeeping within the work cell
  • Ensure equipment is operated as per procedures and JBS/JES
Responsible for raising NCs

  • Awareness of all open NCs within work cell
  • Leads investigation of NCs, when initiated on shift and within Cell.
  • Challenges all acts of noncompliance (H&S, WI, SOPs)
  • Responsible for zero errors on batch records/DHS/WO/Pressure Sheets etc.

Health and Safety

  • Responsible for ensuring the correct PPE is worn
  • Raises awareness of H&S
  • Escalates H&S issues to Value Stream Leader and relevant bodies
  • Ensures conformance with all H&S regulations within the work cell

Process

  • Develop working relationship and ensure proactive communication with planning, stores, maintenance and quality control teams to maximize the areas safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Support lean / continuous improvement activities for the area
  • Understands cycle time, monitors and escalates to VSL when cycle times deviates
  • Ensures all Standard Operations are followed in the work cell and completes daily process confirmations for standard work
  • When deviations occur reports to the Value Stream Leader and, if necessary, stops the process
  • Carry's out further tasks that may be delegated by Value Stream Leader or Ops Manager.
  • To undertake machine / process start up, routine and nonroutine material changes and material shut down as required.

Job Specific Competencies

  • Ability to work up to 70% of week as part of work cell team to deliver the plan to agreed rates set by VSL and Planning.
  • Able to rotate and perform all duties and responsibilities to job standard in manufacturing areas.
  • Capability and willingness to multi skill / upskill so competent to rotate into other areas of manufacturing as required, or on Rota as prescribed by VSL.
  • Manage & Complete DBTH boards, hourly line facilitation updates, proactively own and resolve issues relating to DBTH alongside the VST.
  • Ensures process cycle times are met within the work cell
  • Analyses and tracks downtime alongside VST & POL

Qualifications:


Education:

Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) numeracy and literacy.


Experience:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a fast pace quality driven modern environment
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry
  • Experience in a regulatory environment
