Key responsibilities

  • Purchase ledger duties such as coding and posting of purchase invoices, account maintenance and statement reconciliations
  • Sales ledger duties such as raising invoices, account opening and maintenance, customer receipts, credit control and reviewing credit limits
  • Entering bank payments, receipts and performing bank reconciliations
  • Handling employees expense claims
  • HR administration such as new starter onboarding, maintain staff files, maintain training matrix, right to work checks and all other aspects of HR administration
  • Health and Safety administration such as maintain compliance such as DSE assessments, issue risk assessments and renewals, course booking and all other aspects of H&S administration
  • Be the first point of contact for customers, both trade and domestic
  • Assist and report accurately to the Directors, senior managers and employees within the business and wider group
  • Dealing directly with our external HR and Health & Safety professionals
  • Any other ad hoc accounts duties arising from the accounts function

Essential experience

  • Experience of working in a similar role within a multicompany environment
  • A good understanding of Sage50 accounting system
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to interpret numbers and financial information

Salary:
£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
