What you'll be doing:


  • Purchase invoice processing and matching & payments
  • Reconciliations including credit card, bank and sales
  • Weekly, monthly & quarterly sales & margin reporting
  • Monthly and quarterly management accounts close & preparation to review stage
  • Monthly payroll (checking and validation)
  • Quarterly VAT return (checking and filing)
  • Periodic stock checks (scheduling, managing the count & reporting)
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management

Skills required:


  • An experienced bookkeeper who has proven ability to maintain the company's financial transactions.
  • Previous experience in a retail/stock environment.
  • A creative & flexible approach to their work with a good mix of initiative and teamwork and a "can do" attitude.
  • AAT qualified would be a preference, but also part qualified and qualified by experience will be considered.
  • Great attention to detail and an ability to challenge how and why things are done.
  • Xero & Shopify experience would be preferable but not essential.
  • Good interpersonal skills are a must as you will need to explain numbers and trends to Non-Finance Managers
  • Experience with stock taking and stock control
