Accounts Assistant - Part Time - Wakefield - £20,000 - £23,000 FTEChase & Holland are excited to be working with amarket leading business in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team on a temporary basis up until September 2023. This is a fantastic opportunityfor with previous experience in purchase ledger to join a passionate team


Accounts Assistant responsibilities include:


  • Inputting and recording receipt of invoices & distributing for authorisation if required
  • Matching invoices to GRNs/Purchase orders
  • Provide detailed descriptions for key nominal ledger accounts
  • Successfully manage and resolve queries on unmatched invoices with internal and external stakeholders
  • Answering queries from suppliers regarding payments and requesting missing invoices/credit notes
  • Performing month end purchase ledger reconciliation
  • Cover cash and sales ledger processing activities in Junior Management Accountant's absence
  • Previous experience working within a fast paced purchase ledger environment
  • Keen eye for detail and excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Must be IT literate including in Excel
