Accounts Assistant - Trafford Park

The business is a well established successful steel/aluminium company with a large European Steel provider as parent company.

The opportunity is to work in a close knit hardworking team, providing the financial backbone to the business' operations.

You will work with the management team and become part of their success.


The role in detail is below but the opportunity and culture would suit a more outgoing individual who can enjoy the work environment and be part of creating that.

Accounts Assistant circa £35k
- to £38k plus pension


Role;
Debtors

  • Post sales invoices and credit notes
  • Credit control and credit insurance maintenance
Creditors

  • Post purchase invoices
  • Reconcile supplier accounts
  • Post payments onto the bank for authorisation
General

  • Month end reconciliations and journals
  • Wages cover and monitoring
  • KPI development and monitoring
  • Ad hoc reporting for local and group needs
  • Occasional travel to Birmingham

Skills
Essential

  • Previous experience in manufacturing industry
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Logical and organised worker
Desirable

  • Previous experience using Sage50
  • Previous experience migrating accounting systems
  • Driving license
  • Experience dealing with overseas companies and foreign VAT

Job Types:

Salary:
£35,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
