We currently have an exciting new position available in our Turing customer Service team as a Grant Lead, leading an Operational Team working together within a busy and supportive team environment committed to our programme policy principles and delivering the required service to our client.

You will also provide a positive contribution to the continuous improvement of the service delivered by identifying opportunities and making recommendations as to how the service might be made more efficient and effective.


Responsible for the delivery of highly visible services that contribute significantly to achievement of customer satisfaction, Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), cost, expense and other business objectives.

What you'll be doing:


  • Recruitment, retention and performance management of Grant Team; maximising performance of this team to meet client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs),
  • Managing risks to Turing Scheme activities and inputting the change process to ensure a sustainable and progressive work area.
  • Using Management Information (MI) to carry out effective monitoring, evaluation and review of team performance. Providing reporting as appropriate.
  • Supporting queries and escalations on processes.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely updating of scheme IT systems.
  • Managing workflow and work streams to optimum efficiency according to changing volumes.
  • Organising team workload and producing individual performance targets and setting realistic objectives.
  • Supporting the development of Grant Officers through Quality monitoring, feedback, reviews and coaching, as necessary.
  • Providing regular reports on team performance.
  • Developing and maintaining a positive team ethos, minimising attrition and absence and promoting productivity.

What we're looking for:


  • Ideally you will have a background in or knowledge of grant management or of the education sector
  • You must have a background in customer service ideally at a minimum of a Team Leader level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to take a holistic view of the service and make recommendations to ensure that we continuously improve
  • The ability to plan and organise own workload
