This post for a SEND Learning Support Assistant is to offer extra capacity within the staff team. The right person should have experience of working with students that have SEMH and display challenging behaviours.

This job role will be working at a Pupil Referral Unit ( PRU ) setting which provides education for pupils in KS3 KS4 based in Yeovil.

For this particular role you will be working with maximum class size of x6 students.

Although initially offered as a fixed-term contract, this job role may offer the opportunity to be made permanent via 12 week/60 day temp-to-perm contract via Elementa for the right person.


Naturally, working at a specialist PRU setting for students with SEMH will involve working with young & teenage learners that display challenging behaviour so resilience, a sense of humour, empathy and the desire to motivate learners whatever their background or ability will be key to being successful in this role.

Commonly students at this school have often missed large parts of standard education or have significant knowledge gaps.
