LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT
A 9 month FTC opportunity as a Legal and Compliance Assistant working on crucial processes within a leading property company
LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT ROLE:
- Coordinating and managing the administrative aspects of the company's internal approvals process, including tracking and data entry of status of approvals, compiling and disseminating agendas and coordinating the approval process
- Managing the company insurance processes and coordinating renewals and process updates with the Senior Legal Counsel
- Assisting the General Counsel and UK legal function with a wide range of legal, risk and corporate governance matters
- Supporting the members of the UK legal team to deliver relevant tasks, workstreams and projects through legal and administration support and applicable processes
- Assisting with budget matters and optimising related workflows within the legal department, including management of contracts
- Assisting with the management of legal documents, including organisation and maintenance of files
- Scheduling and coordinate administrative matters for the UK legal team
- Supporting the UK legal function with finalising commercial contracts and other legal documents and prepare reports, presentations, and other legal documents as needed
- Assisting the Senior Legal Counsel to drive key transformation initiatives, strategic requirements, and provide support to the General Counsel
- Assisting with the implementation of the UK legal team training and learning and development schedule
- Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned by the legal team
- Collaborating with international and crossfunctional teams
- Acting as a liaison between the legal department and internal and external clients, vendors, and service providers
LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT ESSENTIALS:
- Minimum 12 months of endtoend process management and stakeholder/shareholder management
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience working within or assisting with managing and coordinating a business process and data entry preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to move projects forward by engaging stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding and current working knowledge on inhouse legal services, systems and processes, preferred
