Description

We are currently seeking a team of Support Workers, to work with our client living in their own home, in Shoeburyness.

Our client is a 62 year old female, who has suffered a spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis. The client also has a fitted tracheostomy and invasive ventilation. She is passionate about gardening, enjoys going out into the community and appreciates meaningful conversations.

At present, we have a number of day and wake night shifts available.

Your role as a Support Worker during a day shift would be to assist with the clients day time routine, provide personal care, administer medication and regularly access the community.

As a wake night Support Worker, you would help with the bedtime routine and any clinical interventions required overnight, this includes the use of equipment and ensuring she is comfortable throughout the night.


Shift requirements


There will be no allocated days or nights to start, the rota will be issued dependent on the teams availability.

Therefore, flexibility, including weekend availability, is essential.

The day shift will begin at 08.00am and finish at 20.00pm.

The wake night will begin at 20.00pm and finish at 08.00am.

All shifts are 2:1.

Requirements:


  • Previous paid care experience of 3 months full time, caring for clients with complex needs within the UK including tracheostomy and ventilation experience
  • Someone who is flexible and able to offer availability with short notice including weekend shifts
