Accounts Assistant

Full time and permanent 371⁄2 hours per week


We are delighted to be working on behalf of our successful international client who is a major leader in their field of specialised manufacturing, helping them to secure a permanent and full time Accounts Receivable Clerk for their team in Westbury.

They supply products into the global markets and have manufacturing facilities in the UK and Spain.


Based in Westbury, this is a key and high-profile role, overseeing all aspects of the accounting sales practices and processes.

You will support business needs, ensure correct accounting and the proper implementation of statutory regulation. Any necessarytraining will be provided. You will be reporting to the Management Accountant & CFO. This role is office based.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Produce and send sales invoices.
  • Commercial Invoices for Exports.
  • Monthly intercompany invoicing & recharges.
  • Setting up and vetting new customers.
  • 3way price checking.
  • Correspond with customers and the Sales' team, responding to inquiries.
  • Review and send customer's monthly statements.
  • Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain customer files.
  • Weekly Invoice Financing reconciliation.
  • Daily Production Report on Sales.
  • Assisting the rest of the Finance Team.
  • Following up on customer queries.
  • Managing returns from customers.
  • Tight credit control to ensure prompt payment and reducing late payments.
  • Credit reviews.
  • Other office duties as required.
  • Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Required Skills:


  • Sales Ledger experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail & accuracy.
  • Experience of accounting software, Sage X3 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of exporting & trade compliance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work confidentiality.
  • Ability to resolve enquiries.
  • Exceptional organisation & prioritising skills as working in a fastmoving role.
  • Problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to use their own initiative.
  • Ability to work within a team and on their own.
  • Proficient in data entry and data management.
