Site Purchasing Manager
Westbury


We are delighted to be working on behalf of our successful international client who is a major leader in their field of specialised manufacturing, helping them to secure a permanent and full time Site Purchasing Manager for their team in Westbury.

They supply products into the global markets and have manufacturing facilities in the UK and Spain.


Based in Westbury, this is a key role, responsible for delivering a range of procurement solutions to meet the evolving organisational needs, ensuring an effective supply chain, whilst maintaining commercial focus.

Furthermore, providing support to the StrategicPurchasing Manager.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Managing purchasing information and systems, responsible for the preparation and process of purchase orders and documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Effective proactive communication with other departments as necessary to predict, plan and supply to quality standards.
  • Identify material shortages and communicate with relevant departments.
  • Manage the MRP system to identify requirements and place orders in line with the authority matrix.
  • Work with the relevant departments to reduce the stock levels and improve cash flow.
  • Manage stocks rotation to ensure FIFO control over multiple warehouses.
  • Administration and reports.
  • Keep work areas organised.
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing records as required.
  • Adhere to the Company's quality standards and business policies.
  • Track and monitor the OTIF progress of relevant suppliers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Ensure all overdue deliveries are monitored with feedback provided internally.
  • Participate in company stock takes.

  • IT Literate
  • Including Microsoft Office.

  • Great customer service skills.
