The Role
Here at the CAA we are looking for a Strategic Finance Business Partner to join our growing Finance team.

The role involves direct line management of four Finance Business Partners and is a deputising role for the Finance Business Partner Manager as required.


As a Strategic Finance Business Partner, you will build partnerships with key business areas, especially HR and Corporate Planning colleagues regarding resourcing requirements for the business.


Responsibility will also cover producing and providing monthly management accounts for Senior Executive Committee, analysis and communicating any risks in a timely manner.


The role will involve interpreting and communicating financial trends and improving the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance by coaching and developing the financial awareness of non-financial managers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating monthend, forecasting and annual budgeting for the CAA Group including review and production of monthly Executive Committee & Board reports.
  • Support 'Strategic Workforce Planning' through direct liaison with HR and Corporate Planning colleagues to coordinate resourcing, recruitment, and resource forecasting.
  • Review and challenge to Groups through Finance Business Partners on resource forecasting and budgets.
  • Interpreting and communicating trends in order to influence decision making.
  • Organising and attending regular finance review meetings with Executive Directors, Head of Finance & Corporate Services and Chief Operating Officer
  • Liaising with external stakeholders mainly the CAA's UK auditors and external clients where applicable.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve financial and resource reporting to enhance user experience
  • Identification of process improvements and opportunities to improve the control environment

About You


They will have a confident and approachable manner with an extensive level of computer literacy, business acumen and financial accounting knowledge.


The post holder will need to work to generally accepted accounting principles and have a good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.


A high level of competence in excel is required to analyse data in order to maintain and develop forecasting and reporting models especially in relation to revenue and margin forecasting and project management.

Familiarity with modern ERP finance systems would also be an advantage.

Additional Information


The role will work in a hybrid working environment and will work closely with the Senior Leadership teams and the Finance Business Partner Manager, prioritising their own workload.

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
