Description

Our client is a growing medium sized business who is seeking to hire a Financial Accountant. The Financial Accountant is a No2 position to the Financial Controller and will supervise a team of 2 reports.

The role will suit a finalist or newly qualified ACA/ACCAor CIMA Accountant who is looking for a good mix of Financial and Management Accounting exposure.

Responsibility for the preparation of the consolidated monthly management accounts, including calculations and posting of the monthly journals
Preparation and issue of variance reports to monitor and report on variances to budget and targets
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and intercompany accounts
Production of the monthly management accounts pack and supporting analysis for internal and external stakeholders of the business
Responsibility for the preparation of the individual entity accounts
Assist in preparation of yearend accounts and the production of our audit files
Assist in preparation and submission of the group monthly and quarterly VAT returns
Adhoc analysis and investigations for the board and senior management
Review and approval of Purchase Orders and supplier payment runs
Assist in the preparation of the annual Budget and forecasts including cashflow
Provide support and cover for other members of the finance team (accounts payable, credit control)
Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems, and implementing improvements and efficiencies to business processes
Managing and supporting a team of two, supporting in their role development and ensuring that processes are followed
Able to deputise for the Financial Controller when required

A salary of £50,000-£55,000 is on offer plus 12% bonus and great benefits.
