Production Stock Controller - Pontefract, United Kingdom - REED Engineering
Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a leading manufacturing company who are seeing stable ongoing growth and are looking for a motivated individual to join a dedicated team.
Job Role:
- Reporting to the Production Manager.
- Individual will be responsible for making sure that stock levels are consistent, ordering new stock if necessary and processing orders for the factory.
- Stock Controllers will record and maintain inventory lists for the factory, check product codes, review reports and paperwork where relevant.
- Individual will support the production manager
- They will also update stock information on the ERP system (Navision).
- Actively promote Quality throughout the organisation. Be aware of company and departmental objectives, targets and measurements and assist in the delivery of those targets.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running outofstock (OOS) Maintaining stock levels between warehousing and production
- Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed for production
- Track shipments and address any delays to production materials
- Check stocks movements via internal trunk to ensure these match orders placed and flag up issues.
- Oversee storage of products, and enforce FIFO system
- Coordinate regular inventory audits of the factory
- Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products' quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
- Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
- Update ERP accordingly with production and factory returns and scrap movements
- Be the point of contact for finished goods label issues and shift change over stock planning issues
- Actively promote Quality throughout the organisation.
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures
- Ability to build strong working relationships
- Strong attention to details
- Passion to deliver an exceptional service
- Working knowledge of inventory management software (e.g. NetSuite or TradeGecko or Navision)
- Active participation in inventory audits
- Excellent organization skills
- Good communication and negotiation abilities
Package Details:
- Salary: £24,000.00£28,000.00 per year
