Description

To work as a member of the OSRC team delivering, installing and demonstrating a wide variety of standard and specialist equipment into patients' homes as recommended by a qualified professional.


To be responsible for providing and explaining the care and user instructions of the installed equipment to the patient or carer.


To support a qualified professional with patient manual handling if required during the installation of equipment in a patient home.

To responsible for the safe driving and daily safety checking of a designated vehicle.

To provide supervision to a named Assistant Technical Officer.

To drive the allocated vehicle safely and in accordance with the Highway Code.


To carry out daily checks on vehicles and reporting any faults as necessary using standard Trust documentation and according to Trust procedure.


To ensure that the interior and exterior of the allocated vehicle is cleaned on a regular basis (at least once per week or more frequently if circumstances dictate).

To ensure vehicle is secure when unattended.

To always ensure a high standard of personal presentation


To participate in training and staff meetings and cooperate with discussions designed to improve the post holders' skills, identify problems and/or potential service improvements.

To provide cover for other team colleagues within the ATO job description as directed by the designated line manager.

To ensure understanding, sensitivity and tolerance when dealing with clients
