Job Purpose


This position is primarily to support the Branch colleagues by delivering excellent customer service and supporting in the smooth running of the Branch operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Industry experience would be desirable (full training will be given)
  • Experience in cash handling
  • Proven sales and customer background
  • Resilient and results driven
  • Confident in approaching new prospect customers (Training will be given)
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, colleagues and internal teams
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Ability to work accurately and with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamworking in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the overall business
  • Knowledge of products would be advantageous
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating passion around service and the customer journey
  • Intermediate level of PC literacy
  • MS Office. Word, Excel

Key Results Areas

  • Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and on time, in full.
  • Ensure that customers in the showroom are dealt with politely and efficiently.
  • All cash handling must be dealt with in line with company policy.
  • Achieve sales and margin targets of the branch.
  • Target new customers and be proactive, following up on all enquiries.
  • Ensure that all held orders are chased and customers contacted for payments.
  • Help out with PPI and stock take when required.
  • Minimise stock transfers between branch and CDC by following 4 x procedures.
  • Complete all sales reports as required
  • Ensure the showroom is always to a high standard including full samples, brochures, promotions and maintain general housekeeping.
  • Forklift and Ladder safety inspections.
  • Checking incoming stock deliveries for quantity and quality.
  • Driving a forklift truck to receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store), also preparing and completing orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (full training will be provided for Forklift truck).
