Selective Recruitment Group are working with a well-established nursing home in Abingdon who are seeking a Head of Care join their team on a permanent basis.

Location:
Abingdon

Salary:
£50,000 plus bonus scheme

Contract:
Permanent

Working Hours:
Full time

Qualification:
RGN (Active NMC Pin)

What will you be doing as the Head of Care:

  • The organisation of the Home and attitude of the staff should reflect the need for residents to achieve and maintain maximum independence
  • Supernumerary time/duties such as Auditing, Pre-Assessments, rota management, staff training etc.
  • Ensuring data is processed in accordance with data protection and is GDPR compliant
  • Ensuring internal notes and communications are accurately captured and maintained
  • Assessment of residents' needs, production and implementation of Care plans and accurate documentation on residents' records
  • Staff management
  • The post holder will be expected to maintain a quiet and calm atmosphere by encouragement and example whilst caring for the residents
  • Helping unqualified staff with inservice training and to keep abreast of current postregistration training

To be a successful Head of Care you will need to:

  • Highly organised and with great attention to detail
  • Able to interpret and respond clearly and effectively to requests
  • Registered General Nurse Qualification
  • Active NMC pin number
  • Leadership skills
