An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join our Dacorum Community Nursing Service.


As a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant you will be responsible for providing safe, personalised and effective care to patients who require community nursing care.

Working alongside the community nurses, you will use a wide range of clinical skills and interventions within a home environment


You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be a team player and be able to adapt to the changing work patterns of the service by remaining calm under pressure.

You will also need to have good IT skills to support the systems in place.

The Community Nursing Service provides care to patients in the community setting. You will be well supported by our current team and provision is also made for your continued professional development.

We are looking for staff to work daytime shifts.

The Healthcare Assistant will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse or allied health professional.

The HCA will work in patient/carers own homes as well as visiting patients in residential homes


The post holder will be expected to become proficient and competent in their area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to the area of clinical practice.

The HCA will promote optimum independence and individualised client centred care to a delegated caseload


The post holder will also support the Community Nursing Team to deliver against key performance indicators and maintain quality of the service.

The service is provided seven days per week 8am-6pm covering the Dacorum area of West Hertfordshire.
