Main duties of the job:


The department is again undergoing a multi million pound redevelopment program whereby Nuclear Medicine, MRI and the Interventional Unit are upgrading their equipment.

The department actively encourages continued professional development (CPD) and opportunities are available for further training and development.


The Royal Free Hospital is situated in the beautiful Hampstead area, a vibrant part of London with many cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs, and the hospital is located in close proximity to Hampstead Heath.

The hospital is easily accessible being 5 minutes from Underground and Overground train services as well as regular buses.

It has a diverse range of complex specialties, a busy A&E department and we are a centre of excellence for both HPB and vascular work.

Education:


Essential criteria:


  • GSCE awards in English, Mathematics and a Science discipline
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Well demonstrated IT skills and qualifications.
  • Knowledge of infection control requirements
  • Phlebotomy/IV cannulation certificate

Desirable criteria:


  • NVQ or certificate relating to patient care

Experience:


Desirable criteria:


  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Previous experience working in a Radiology department

Skills and aptitudes:

  • Demonstrates a commitment to patient care.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to liaise with the public and staff at all levels
