Are you looking for a role where you can support, nurture and make a difference to the lives of children and young people? Perhaps this Pastoral focused teaching assistant position could be what you have been searching for.

Whilst it's preferred that you have an understanding of special educational needs, training can be provided.

Pupils with special educational needs require patience and encouragement in order to achieve their learning goals. Pastoral support develops indepedence, resilience and fundamental life skills, alongside a bespoke curriculum where the young person can thrive.


In the classroom, you will be required to:

  • Support the class teacher
  • Carry out routine tasks to maintain the learning environment
  • Report on progress and deliver fun and exciting lesson support

Every pupil is different with a range of special educational needs and require the following:

  • Meeting the pupils' need for encouragement, reassurance and comfort and attend to their personal care (whilst encouraging independence)
  • Ensure wellbeing, behaviour and personal development of pupils.
  • To encourage pupils to be independent learners.

Expectations:


  • To understand and carry out the role in line with agreed standards, expectations & qualifications.
  • Contribute to and influence children's learning and personal development.
  • To have regard to and comply with safeguarding policy and procedures.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm


Salary:
£90.00-£100.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
