    Job summary

    We are recruiting for two Specialty Doctor's to come and work within Community Paediatrics in Kent for an Outstanding rated NHS Trust.

    With the focus of the NHS shifting to a more community-based approach for patients there has never been a better time to join a Community Trust

    You will work as part of a team consisting of consultants, specialist and specialty doctors, an ACP, nurses, health care assistants and admin staff.

    Main duties of the job

    You will be working with managers and professional colleagues to ensure the efficient running of our services.

    Some of the clinical areas you will get to work within are:

  • Second and third tier community Paediatrics assessments
  • Neurodevelopmental and Behavioural Paediatrics
  • Looked After Children's medical assessments and assessments for Social Services
  • Child Sexual Abuse medical assessments
  • Participation in the SARC rota (this is negotiable as part of the role)
  • Child Health Promotion
  • Educational medicine
  • Education and training and trainee supervision and teaching
  • Clinical audit/governance
  • Research opportunities within the Trust

    • A suitable applicant for the whole-time post is sought but applicants who are able to work part-time will also be considered.

    You will not be expected to participate in acute on-call duties. Your job plan will be agreed during your induction period.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Medical Degree, MBBS or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration

    • Desirable

  • Post Graduation Qualification

    • Experience

  • 3 years post qualification experience

    • Desirable

  • 6 months Community Paediatric experience

    • Knowledge

    Essential

  • Good written and oral communication
  • Willing to work unsupervised, but with awareness of limitations

    • Desirable

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively
