VERSATILE LIVE-OUT HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR FAMILY HOME IN TEDDINGTON

£18-£21 gross per hour, negotiable DOE

An informal family home, the property has been finished to a high standard and will require a Housekeeper with an exceptional eye for detail and knowledge of how to care for delicate finishes.

Duties will include cleaning and organisation of the household, laundry and ironing, liaising with contractors and service providers, as well as providing pet care for the family's small hypoallergenic dog.


If hiring a Housekeeper/Cook, the additional duties for the housekeeper will include menu planning, placing grocery orders online, receiving and unpacking groceries and ensuring that proper stock rotation is maintained in the fridge, freezer, and pantry.

You will prepare fresh, healthy and nutritious meals for the whole family - they generally enjoy family-style low-carb meals, but you should also be able to accommodate special requests and be able to create child friendly meals.


The family have two children, aged 4 and 6, so if undertaking a Housekeeper/Nanny role, your duties in addition to the general housekeeping, laundry and organisation of the home will include childcare.

You will undertake full management of the children's lives, which includes managing their schedules, play dates and homework, arranging activities for them and accompanying them on outings, preparing meals and snacks for them, as well as ensuring their school bags are ready for the next day.


GENERAL DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • General organisation of the household
  • Daily cleaning and tidying including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
  • Changing bed linen and making beds
  • Managing stocks of cleaning products
  • Laundry and ironing, including handwashing delicate items
  • Rubbish and recycling management
  • Greeting tradespeople and contractors
  • Pet care

Additional duties for Housekeeper/Cook:


  • Menu planning, discussing meal ideas with the principals
  • Placing grocery orders online
  • Receiving and unpacking groceries
  • Stock rotation and management in the fridge, freezer, and pantry
  • Preparing meals for the whole family

Additional duties for the Housekeeper/Nanny:


  • Full management of the children's lives
  • Liaising with other nannies/parents/teachers to coordinate school or extracurricular activities
  • Planning and accompanying children on play dates
  • Providing assistance with homework or tasks
  • Ensuring their school bags and packed and ready for the next day
  • Preparing snacks and meals for the children
  • Adhoc babysitting

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:


  • Exceptional attention to detail; knowledge of how to care for highend finishes and surfaces
  • Prior experience working within a private household
  • Highly organised, proactive, and ability to work with little supervision
  • Good spoken and written English and an exceptional communicator
  • Child and pet friendly
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and hard working
  • Tech savvy
  • Confident cook, able to prepare healthy, fresh meals from scratch (if Housekeeper/Cook)
  • Experience looking after young children & having a Paediatric First Aid certificate (if Housekeeper/Nanny)
  • DBS checked
  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Brilliant checkable references

Salary:
£18.00-£21.00 per hour
