We are currently recruiting for a canteen assistant to work for a global food production company in Wolverhampton in WV9 area.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- To assist in the preparation, cooking and serving of food in accordance with company procedures.
- To wash dishes, utensils and other catering equipment as required ensuring compliance with food hygiene requirements.
- To carry out related duties required to ensure that the canteen is maintained in a clean and hygienic condition.
- To ensure customer and food service is effective and efficient.
- To receive and store daily deliveries stock replenishment
- Remove daily rubbish from the Canteen following the correct company procedures.
- To update all relevant temperature checks and cleaning schedules.
- To undertake any other duties requested by Manager
Level 2 certificate in food hygiene - preferably but not necessary:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous working experience within canteen or busy café environment
- A team player who works collaboratively with colleagues to provide excellent customer service.
- Able to work on own initiative with limited supervision.
Must be flexible with working days - weekly rota in place:
- You will work between 32 to 40 hours per week
- Free lunch provided
Hours of work: 7.00am - 3.30pm
Days of work:
Need to be flexible as it can be any days between Monday to Sunday
Salary:
£9.60 per hour

Experience:
- Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Level 2 Certificate in Food and Hygiene (preferred)
