Would you like the opportunity to be a key member of our Back of House team at The Home of Cricket?
Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is looking for hardworking individuals who believe they can be the driving force of our Back of House, which of course is the backbone of our Front of House delivery.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of the Cellar team.
This Cellar Porter role is vital for a successful delivery on match days and at our numerous events & experiences that take place on the ground throughout the year.
We are looking for individuals who are multi-skilled and are able to transition between the varied expectations of these roles.

About the Role:
- Assist with the delivery and distribution of stock and equipment.
- Ensure efficient and safe storage of goods and equipment.
- Supervise catering areas setup and breakdown.
- General stock movement beverages, frozen, and dry goods.
- Ensure cellars and bars are clean and in optimal condition.
- Support with event day setup and clear down of multiple areas and facilities.
- Assist in monthly stock take.
- Aid with the setup of the full cellar operation including kef movement, gas supply, and product merchandising.
- Comply with the Club uniform policy and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Additional Information This Cellar Porter role provides flexible working hours, suitable to fit around your availability. Your hours will vary depending on the operational requirements of MCC.
Essential Skills:
- Due to the use of heavy machinery, applicants must be over the age of 1
- Comfortable to walk and stand during the shift and carry out frequent manual handling tasks.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible.
- Good command of English with the ability to communicate confidently.
- Honest, reliable, and hardworking.
- Selfstarter who has a committed work ethic.
- Due to the nature of event days, weekend and evening work will be required.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role or environment
- Basic COSHH qualification/knowledge.
- Basic Food Hygiene knowledge including Food Hygiene Level 2.
